According to the legend, he reached the place, where the city of Kiev is situated today. The feast day of St. Andrew is celebrated on the 13th of December (new style).

Ilya Muromets lived in the XII century and died in the Kyivo-Pechers’koj Lavre around 1188.
The Holy Trinity
Direct depiction of the Trinity would contradict the conception of eternal, inconceivable and triune God. "God has never been seen by anyone", therefore only symbolic depictions have been acknowledged as canonical. Three angels symbolize three hypostasis of God (Father, Son and the Holy Spirit) - the Holy Trinity - which is believed to be distinct yet coessential.

Wedding Icons
The Wedding couple – is a composition of two icons, the Saviour and the Mother of God, performed in a unified style. During the sacrament of marriage, they lie on the left and on the right of the royal doors. At the end of the sacrament, the priest blesses the couple with the icons for a life together. The icons are kept not only as a memento, but they are the visible images of the invisible presence and blessing of God.
Crucifixion
The replica (the archetype of 13th century resides in Louvre) dates back to the old crucifixions. Physiological details are absent here. Not death and agony but the triumph of God who has defeated death is a key sense of the icon. The figure of the Saviour is as though laid on the Cross and the God is opening His embrace to all, and reaching out for Him.

Christmas
This feast day icon is instinct with the feeling of joy and exaltation. In the centre of the icon there is the Mother of God and the Child and the shaft of the Star of Bethlehem descends upon them. A bull and a donkey are warming up the Divine Child with their breath. On the right there are the shepherds who have received the Good News about Christmas of the Saviour of this world. On the right there are the three Wise Men “following the star” with the gifts to for the everlasting Father.

Christ the True Vine

Angel with Golden Hair
On this icon Archangel Gabriel is depicted. According to the evangelic narration it was him Gabriel who has brought the Good News about the birth of Son to the Virgin Mary. In Hebrew, angel means God’s agent. The icon relates to the Byzantian tradition. The holy face is instinct with beauty and nobleness, his look is full of sorrow.

Exactly as it was 1000 years ago, so also today, the icon reveals what Our Lord Jesus Christ Himself once said, "The Kingdom of Heaven has come closer!" The icon puts us face to face with this Kingdom and with God, who has become human for our salvation. The icon is a place, where God and Man meet one another.
Saint Martyr Stephanida
Stephanida suffered the martyrdom for Christ during the reign of Emperor Marcus Aurelius. She was tied up to two bowed palms and torn by them apart. She was only 15 years old when she died.

Virgin «Ognevidnaya»
On this icon the Blessed Mother is portrayed alone, without the Christ Child. The maforion is usually kept in red or purple color, which corresponds to the name of the icon "The Fiery One". On our icon is the robe in blue, which symbolizes the celestial fire.

Transfiguration of the Lord
This icon is a depiction of evangelic narration about the transfiguration of the Lord. To the left of the transfigured in the Heavenly glory Jesus Christ is Ilya, to the right – Moses. At the bottom the falling apostles are depicted blinded by the glory of the Lord. From left to right: Peter, John and Jacob.
Joy of All Who Sorrow
It is also a type of icon that depicts the Theotokos in a specific manner, standing beneath her Son, who is in Heaven as a king, and surrounded by people and angels.

Bernward of Hildesheim
Bernward of Hildesheim (960 - 1022) is venerated by the Catholic Church and the Romanian Orthodox Church. Since 2006 the local saint of the Russioan Orthodox Diocese of Berlin and the German Diocese. St. Bernward was a remarkable art theorist and practitioner and has therefore earned the title of "the holy artist".
St. Taisia of Egypt
Thais was an Egyptian saint from the 5th century. The day of remembrance in the Orthodox Church is celebrated on May 23rd (according to the Gregorian calendar). This little icon has an intimate and authentic character.
Guardian Angel
The guardian angel, given to a person by God while being baptized, protects him from evil, helps and guides him in good and holy doings throughout his life. "See that you do not despise one of these Little Ones, for I tell you that their Angels in Heaven always see the face of my Heavenly Father." (Mt 18,10)

The iconic image of Christ Pantocrator was one of the first images of Christ developed in the Early Christian Church and remains a central icon of the Eastern Orthodox Church.
The Great-martyr Panteleimon
The Great-martyr Panteleimon (Greek – healer, most merciful) lived during the last terrible persecution of the Christians. He was executed in the 3rd century AD during the reign of Maximilian. St. Panteleimon was a doctor. On the icons, he is usually depicted with the martyrs cross in the right hand or basket for medicines in the left hand, like as on this icon.
John the Baptist
After Mary (mother of Jesus), John the Baptist is one of the most venerated saints. He preached and baptized in the style of the ancient prophets. According to the Old and New Testaments, he is the immediate predecessor of Jesus Christ. On this icon he is shown in an ascetic robe and in a praying pose.
